submitted by Kimberly A. - |Recommended: YesWasn't What I Thought, But It Could Be Worse Improvements Needed. — My previous apartment building caught on fire, and I started looking for another place to live. I have known about South Pointe for decades, and my sister used to live there several years ago. I was on a time crunch to move, so I applied for several apartment communities. I was qualified for quite a few, but I chose South Pointe first. When I first got my keys and went to view the apartment, it was extremely hot. I was like, okay. It wasn't too bad, until Everyone is letting their dogs use the bathroom ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE I am completely afraid to step anywhere, because several times people have stepped on dog feces and tracked in the apartment buildings. It's ridiculous I have yet to see any tenant take their dog out and have a bag to pick that crap up It's getting out of hand. Second week, I was coming home from work one Friday night, to a man who does not live in the complex in front of my building 2503 , screaming and yelling, and another guy restraining him. He was making threats, and I was worried. A young lady came outside telling the guy to chill out and calm down. Come to find out, it was her kid's father, and it was a totally messy domestic crash-out. Because the door doesn't catch and lock all the way, they pulled the building door completely together, and once I got in the house. I heard a loud boom, then another. This person punches the glass on the door not once but twice, shattering the glass. It's just unfortunate that there is trash and dog poop everywhere. There is a young man whom I have caught twice hanging in the hallway of my building at night. He does not live in the complex. I feel unsafe and uncomfortable coming home from work later in the evening, and this person is in the building. Yes, improvements need to be made.

submitted by Monabelle C. - |Recommended: YesGood Overall — The building is old and has issues to be expected with older buildings ie, kitchen appliances, AC unit, walls, carpet, etc. . However, the leasing staff are ON TOP of everything and have been incredibly responsive to my issues and concerns. The maintenance staff is quick to the scene usually comes to unit within a day or two, if not the same week they do a thorough job.

Couldn’t the job completed in the same night, but he was back Monday and kept me in the loop as to what was going on. I really appreciate him Double what yall paying him, truly a gem.

submitted by Christina H. - |Recommended: NoHorrible Habitat — Roach infested, water is not reliable either no hot water, significantly low water pressure not strong enough to flush the toilet , or no water at all. My lease is up in October I can’t wait to move.

submitted by Angela P. - |Recommended: NoLots Of Potential Here — I love my apartment, office staff and maintenance are really great Unfortunately people often spill and litter so the hallway and laundry room is always dirty, and the floors are filthy. People play loud music and have loud parties up until after 3am. Dog poop is often on the walkways and in grass. The laundry smells of urine and urine stains. Deliveries are undelivered packages missed because Amazon and other Non US postal delivery services cannot access buildings. Upgrade to door security and delivery access. Kids and teens loiter, smoke and play in the hallways and laundry rooms. Extremely Hot in unit. Radiator heat should not be on when it’s 60 degrees outside. I’m excited for change under new management. Thank you

submitted by Lavette H. - |Recommended: NoThey Don’t Do Nothing — I’ve been living around Here for the last two years, it’s still a big hole behind my toilet in my bathroom. No one came and fixed it. Maintenance don’t do nothing they have a roach problem. For the last 3 weeks I’ve been calling for someone to take care of that problem no one have not came yet they smoke weed in the hallways. They put locks on the building door, but the tenants still put stuff in the door to leave it open I would not recommend no one to move in these
